Overview

Itinerary
Pick up from Srinagar Airport & transfer to Srinagar hotel by our cab representative in provided cab. Srinagar the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir, is situated at an altitude of 1, 730 m. In the heart of the Kashmir valley, Srinagar spreads out on both sides of the Jhelum River. The valley's beauty has enticed visitors from distant lands and has also been described as Venice of the East. Srinagar bears the hallmark of the Mughal, dry fruits and the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts are the other major attractions of the hill resort. If there is a heaven on earth, it's here, it's here, and it’s here in Srinagar.
On arrival in Srinagar complete check in to your pre-booked hotel, later after some rest and relaxation you can walk and explore the nearby sightseeing areas and know the local cultural life of kashmiris.
Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Today after breakfast, proceed for Sightseeing tour of Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, with terraced lawns, cascading fountains, with the panorama of the Dal Lake in front of them. The three Mughal Gardens- Chasma shahi, Nishat and Shalimar Bagh are the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise and are today very popular places for picnics and excursions. In the evening you will visit the Shankaracharya Temple which is located on a sharp hill, 1,000 feet high and houses a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Overnight stay in Srinagar hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for full day trip to Sonamarg (2740 mts) also known as ‘The Meadow of Gold’ or “The Gateway of Ladakh’ is 84 Kms from Srinagar and is surrounded by colourful mountains and thick Pine forests. After a breath- taking journey from Srinagar you come across River Sindh. On arrival hire Ponies for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier. Here you will be fascinated to see Snowy Mountains against a cerculean sky in its backdrop. Slopes and meadows are sparkled with the loveliest of alpine flowers, while the rich forests of fir, sycamore and birch add lush green beauty to the scene. Sonamarg is also an excellent take off point for treks into the mountains and in itself is an ideal camping ground where glaciers pour down from the Himalayas. Sonamarg is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus.
Depending on the season, you can also hire a local union cab if you want to visit to Zero Point i.e. the end point of Kashmir valley and from were Ladakh starts.
Later in evening, return to Srinagar hotel & overnight stay.
After breakfast transfer from Srinagar to Gulmarg. Gulmarg (8700 ft i.e. 2652 mts) also known as ‘Meadow of flowers. It is one of the India’s premier Hill resorts. Here, you would be able to find European surroundings and 18-hole Golf Course. Gulmarg today is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty – It also turns into India’s premier Ski resort in winter. On arrival in Tungmarg reach Gulmarg taxi stand and proceed towards Gandola cable ride which offers ride to the upland meadows of Kongdoongri and beyond to the top of Apharwat Glacier range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan Peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winter. Later you can visit to Khilanmarg which is a spot for skiing in winters, hire ponies or trek to reach there and enjoy the views of the Kashmir valley and the Himalayan range. Later return back to Srinagar and enjoy shikara ride in Dalk lake and overnight stay in Houseboat.
Today after breakfast proceed for doodhpatri sightseeing. One of the lesser-known destinations of Kashmir, located at a distance of about 40 kilometers from Srinagar, is a quiet little sleepy place with immense natural beauty and plenty of peace. It is a beautiful lush green meadow surrounded by a dense forest, snow-capped mountains, the Shaliganga river flowing down on its other end. You can hire a pony to explore it more. You will be crossing Tangnar while going to Doodhpathri, about 2 to 3 kilometers before. It is a beautiful place of small valleys with Deodar and Pine trees on small hills and worth a brief stop.
In evening return to Srinagar hotel and overnight stay.
After breakfast transfer from Srinagar to Pahalgam through National Highway 1A which connects the valley to the rest of the country.
Pahalgam is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds or Trekker’s Paradise’ and offers breath-taking views. It is famous for its valleys, Glaciers and treks. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. On the way, visit Pampore Saffron fields and Apple orchards. Near Bijbehara you will leave the highway and turn to Pahalgam road and drive through Anantnag bypass. On the way you can shop for dry fruits and other interesting items. From here you will enjoy the scenic valley views and the Lidder river flowing through opposite parallel to the road. On arrival, complete check in and as per time and weather you can go to Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari valley. In winters sometimes 1 or 2 valleys are closed, in that case you can go for Baisaran sightseeing tour on your own, hire ponies or trek to reach there.
Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Depending on your departure timings, complete check out from the hotel after breakfast and proceed to arrive at Jammu/Katra to catch your train / fliback to home. Tour ends with happy memories.

Yes, Kashmir has vegetarian food, including dishes like Dum Aloo, Nadru Monje, and Modur Pulao. Dum Aloo is a traditional dish of potatoes fried in a spicy tomato sauce and curd. Nadru Monje is made of deep-fried lotus stem slices.
Modur Pulao is a sweet and aromatic rice dish made with saffron, dry fruits, and ghee.
