Kedarnath temple is one of the sacred pilgrimage centres in Northern India, located on the bank of Mandakini river at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level. The historical name of this region is “Kedar Khand”. Kedarnath temple is a part of Char Dhams and Panch Kedar in Uttarakhand And one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India.


The trek commences from Gaurikund covering many campsites along the way; Jungle Chatti, Bheembali & Linchauli are some of the camps we pass during the trek. The entirety of journey trekkers would find devotees chanting and celebrating the trail. The echo of “Har – Har Mahadev” fills you with an exceptional spiritual embodiment. Temple’s vicinity and it’s calmness tells everything about this place & will capture you in its essence.


Delhi/Rishikesh to Guptkashi ( 204 km 8 hours ) In the morning we will reach Rishikesh. Here we will take some rest and will have some tea. Enroute, you will witness the enchanting view of River Ganga, the confluence of river Bhagirathi and river Alaknanda at Devprayag. After the visit take a hault near Srinagar for some breakfast at Dhabas or Local restaurants and check your inventory for the trip. Resume your drive and witness the mesmerizing view of Rudraprayag and Ukhimath, after reaching Guptkashi. Check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay. Dinner will be served.

Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath Wake up early in the morning at around 2 am and head out to Gaurikund to avoid traffic. Gaurikund is a base point for Kedarnath and also is an important site in Hinduism. Your trekking route will start from here, itself. Have your breakfast here and start your trek to Kedarnath temple from Gaurikund, it is a 16 kms long trek so if you wish you can rent a pony or palanquin for the trek. On your way, you can take a stop at Rambara for some light refreshment or Lunch. Reach the top and after completing the darshan of Kedarnath Temple (if possible on the same day). have dinner and overnight stay near the Temple.

Kedarnath - Sonprayag - Guptkashi After you reach the holy Kedarnath temple, shop for the essential Pooja items and enjoy the spirituality of the area. Proceed to the temple for Darshan of Lord Shiva and experience the blissful and sacred rituals. Proceed to the Sonprayag region. From there You can hire a cab and reach Chopta where you will enjoy the bonfire, local folk music and dinner. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Guptkashi to Rishikesh/Delhi Scrumptious breakfast in Guptkashi. Leave for Rishikesh/Delhi. On your way to Delhi we will take a break at Haridwar to witness the holy Ganga Aarti. Our Mystical Journey Ends Here.
